T-Ball!!

As of yesterday we have officially entered the world of spring sports! Gabrielle had her very first t-ball practice yesterday and she could not have been cuter! Yes, I realize being "cute" is not the point of playing t-ball but for me it is the best part. Ha! She seemed to be a little lost at times, uncertain of what she was supposed to be doing, but she will get the hang of it.

Gabrielle is playing on the same team with her best friend Lilly. There is only one other little girl on the team. I'm sure a few weeks into the season they'll be showing the boys how it's done.

I guess it takes 5 men to be able to handle and coach this group of 4, 5 and 6 year olds!

Madilyn and Samantha will be the little cheerleaders for their big sisters!

"Run Lilly, run!"

"Run Gabi, run!"

Hmmm...only to second base and already tired and walking? We have a lot of training to do!

I didn't get any pictures of the girls batting but there will be plenty of practices and games for that. This is going to be a very fun and busy spring!

My Lil' Super Hero

Today in Sunday school Gabrielle learned about our greatest hero - Jesus! They made these adorable super hero masks, which she wore through the first part of church. Her Sunday school teacher has done some absolutely adorable lessons with the kids - she and all of the assistants are so great. At home this afternoon Gabrielle found a bag I had made out of a pillowcase which she has appropriately turned in to her super hero cape to go with her super hero mask. It's moments like this I am amazed this adorable and creative little girl is mine! I love her!!

Samantha's First Haircut

Today I finally made myself do the inevitable - I took my baby to get her first professional haircut. Don't ask me why this was such a difficult thing to do because I do not know the reason. It just was.

Before...

and after...

I realize there is not much difference between the before and after. I only wanted the ends snipped slightly, just to start evening it out and look a little fuller.

I did not get any photos of the actual cutting because for one, it took all of 3 minutes to do and also I was not sure how she was going to behave. With her clingy and terrible two moments lately I did not even know if she would sit in the chair by herself. Samantha surprised me once again and did great. She sat in the chair by herself, never cried or fussed, sat still as could be and her only request was to hold my hand. Too cute!!

They gave her a cute little card/certificate, a lock of her hair and a lollipop. All in all, a good experience and good morning.

The Little Chair

I am sure this is not what my Aunt Betsy had in mind when she passed along this cute little doll salon chair to my girls. But little Miss Samantha has claimed it as her own. Afterall it is just the right size - for now!
